FREE ARCHERY CLINIC & CAMPOUT FOR KIDS

I-45 North- 4 miles North of Willis,  exit Shepard Hill Rd. go West(left),  ¾ mile to Danville Rd.(first paved Rd.) turn right,   ¾ mile to Blackland Rd.(first paved Rd.) turn left,  Blackland will make a hard “S” turn it is ½ mile to the entrance on the left.

This is by far the largest event ever for Kicking Bear.  Nine Texas area Gander Mountain stores will be sponsoring the event. Attending the event will be Phil Phillips, Keith Warren,and  Jack Brittingham, As well as the Dream Chaser and Texas Trophy Hunters television programs.

There will be Archery and safety clinics, novelty shoots, and 3-D target shooting(archery supplies are provided) Overnight Tent Camping(bring your own), Free food & drinks, Live Country Music, Fun & Games, Prizes, Hayrides & Tug-O-War,

Free T-shirts & Hats.

Check in Friday begins at 5:00 pm for campout: There will be supper, hayrides, games, tug-o-war, camping, fireside stories and a marshmallow or two...

Check in Saturday begins at 8:00am and event begins at 9:00am after a Mandatory safety meeting.

Kicking Bear One-on-One is a nationwide mentoring program developed by world-renowned bow hunter Ray Howell. The program encourages sportsman to get involved with today’s youth by becoming mentors.  The campouts are a way to introduce our youth to the outdoors and the sport of archery.  It’s target is helping underprivileged children or any child who hasn’t been introduced to the outdoors in order to give them a mentor to look up to. By encouraging others to reach outside their homes and become mentors, we can help put dreams in these kids hearts that will change not only their lives, but their families lives to come.
